A woman in a professional suit raises her hand possibly to speak during a meeting or courtroom session, seated at a desk with papers, a glass of water, a phone, and a desk lamp, with other people in the background.

Gabriella Romero knows how to fight to deliver results for our community.

She is currently the Assemblymember for New York State’s 109th Assembly District representing Albany, New Scotland, and parts of Guilderland.

As the daughter of two proud, unionized state workers, Gabriella grew up with a deep appreciation for public service and the transformative power of collective action.

Prior to being elected to the NYS Assembly, Gabriella served as a public defender working as a felony trial attorney, taking cases to verdict and handling mitigation files. As a public defender, she learned about the deep cracks in our government systems that needed fixing. Learn more about Gabriella here.

PRIORITIES

Woman with glasses and green jacket speaking into a megaphone at a public gathering, with others in reflective vests in the background.

I believe that the government should work for all New Yorkers, not just the wealthy and well-connected.

As your Assemblymember, I will keep fighting so that all of my constituents feel safe, have access to affordable housing, and earn a living wage.
